Peloton faced the challenge of renovating the outdated Oak Flats Library, originally constructed in 1976, to meet modern standards of accessibility and functionality. The existing layout was deemed uninviting and impractical, with an inaccessible doorway and inflexible smaller rooms.

The project goal was to transform the library into a welcoming community space that would better serve the needs of its residents. The $400k upgrade features a new external courtyard and improved interior layout to accommodate various activities, fulfilling the council's strategy to upgrade its library facilities for better functionality and accessibility.
